Initiatives for Solar Power Generation
Our Group has identified "Measures for and Mitigation of Climate Change" as one of its material issues. As part of our climate change measures, we are promoting the introduction and expansion of renewable energy to achieve our GHG emission reduction targets.
Case 1: Toyama Factory
We utilized unused land within the premises of Shikibo Ltd.'s Toyama Factory (located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture) to install a mega-solar power plant. This facility boasts a maximum output of approximately 2,400 kW and 9,954 panels, and has been generating electricity since 2014. It achieves an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 1,160 tons.
Case 2: Nagano Works
We installed solar panels with an output of 210 kW and 594 panels on the rooftop of the Shikibo Ltd.'s Nagano Works (located in Ina-gun, Nagano Prefecture). Generation commenced in 2022. This initiative achieves an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 115 tons.
Case 3: Shikibo Sakai Co., Ltd.
At Shikibo Sakai Ltd. (located in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture), a new building was completed in 2025, and solar panels with an output of 128 kW and 308 panels were installed on its rooftop. This is projected to achieve an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 60 tons.
